Are you the Best of the Best brickie?? If so then maybe you should enter the bricklaying competition to see just how good you are. You will compete against other apprentices to win the Victorian WorldSkills Australia regional title.

Once you’ve won that you get to compete against the winners from other states and if you win that you go overseas to compete at an international level. So if want to show off your skills call us and check out

To compete in the National competition in 2016 you must be born on or after 1st January 1992. And the International competition in Abu Dhabi in 2017 you must be born on or after 1st January 1995.

ABBTF Answers Industry’s Call

There is a growing amount of work which has placed an increased demand on bricklaying. To assist, ABBTF plan to run a work readiness program commencing soon to introduce suitable candidates to fill the many apprentice job vacancies we have listed.

With each year comes new generational change making it harder for bricklayers to find an apprentice. This course along with our current interview process will take the initial hard work out of it for you and send you someone who knows how to set a mixer up, load and push a full barrow along with knowing the names of the tools, their white card and other basics.

You probably know already that there’s a serious shortage of bricklayers due to the increase in building activity lately, so your help in identifying good bricklaying apprentice candidates is important to us.

Why you? You have the benefit of your own, recent, first-hand experience of the trade and the training involved. You are the best person to recognise the potential and qualities that a person has to be a successful bricklayer and to make a rewarding career in the construction industry.
