Metricon Homes – Australia’s No. 1 Builder

Metricon_LogoThe recent HIA Top 100 Builder list showed Metricon as the nation’s top builder with more than 3,000 housing starts in 2010-11.  We congratulate George Kline and Mario Biasin on achieving this honour for the first time.

As Australia’s biggest builder, Metricon is always aware of skill shortages in the trades and the need to train apprentices for the future.

George Kline expressed his support for ABBTF by saying “The investment by the building industry and brick and block manufacturers is important to address the current skill shortage and provide for a competent bricklayer workforce for the future.”

ABBTF programs in Victoria have more than doubled apprentice bricklayer numbers since it was launched.
