The construction of Errington Special Education Centre, designed by prominent SA Architects Walter Brooke & Associates, demonstrates the expert bricklaying skills that the trade is known for in South Australia.
Paul Caruso of Caruso Constructions met the challenge on this project, laying 70,000 Austral Symmetry Silver ‘Colossus’ bricks in stack bond. The bricks were the length of two bricks (470mm) and required precise set-out to eliminate cut bricks, except for the feature bonded corners.
